It is your own decision... but,

You will be free from such kind of fear by using operating systems
or architectures which never allow execution on stack area.
You should consider whether the mechanism for detection and shutting
intruders out of DeleGate approach your requirement or not.

Maybe no. But you are strongly recommended to upgrade to
DeleGate/6.0.9 if you are using DeleGate/5.X or formers.
DeleGate/6.1 will be released with just a slight modification from
DeleGate/6.0.9.  The main reason why the release 6.X is still
labeled as "alpha status" is the incompleteness of this "Manual.htm".
