Netscape seems to cache directory data, which might be cleaned
by restarting or expired during your vacation.

 |well, this does not... ldap.yahoo.com does not seem to be up and
 |running, I can'T connect directly either. There is always a timeout.
 |Do you know any other open LDAP servers for testing?

The LDAP server at Netscape seems good.

 |Client: Netscape Communicator
 | Communicator/AddressBook/File/NewDirectory:
 | LDAP Server: your-LDAP-delegate-host
 | Search Root: ou=member_directory,o=netcenter.com@netscape..
 | Port Number: 8389
 |
 |At least the above example seems to work without problem.

Cheers,
