[DeleGate-En] Re: overlaid servers causes problems
17 Apr 2006 04:05:27 GMT pnqgabdyi-c2jtqbf7abvr.ml@ml.delegate.org

I tried your suggestion with changing the mounts so I now have:

delegated -P21 SERVER=ftp LOGDIR=/var/log LOGFILE=delegate-21 CACHE=no PERMIT="*:*:*" REMITTABLE="*"
MOUNT="/a/b/* ftp://firsthost.com/a/b/*"
MOUNT="/a/b/c/d/e/f/g/* ftp://otherhost/*"

Unfortunately, this also messes up the paths.  For example:

user xxx
pass yyy
<user logged on>
cd /a/b/
ls
<displays contents of /a/b correctly >
cd c/d/e/f/g/
ls
<displays contents of otherhost root dir >

I want the second ls to display the contents of otherhost/a/b/d/e/f/g.

=====================================================

I've also noticed this same issue even when the otherhost doesnt have a home directory issue (ie if you make the default login the root dir / )

Using the same example of:

delegated -P21 SERVER=ftp LOGDIR=/var/log LOGFILE=delegate-21 CACHE=no PERMIT="*:*:*"  REMITTABLE="*"

MOUNT="/a/b/* ftp://firsthost.com/a/b/*"

MOUNT="/a/b/c/d/e/f/g/* ftp://otherhost/a/b/c/d/e/f/g/*"

something like this occurs:

user xxx

pass yyy

cd /a/b/c/d/e/f

ls

<displays contents of fristhost/a/b/c/d/e/f correctly>

get g/h/i/h/file.zip

<sucessfully downloads file.zip from otherhost correctly>

pwd

< displays / (the root> as current directory rather than /a/b/c/d/e/f like it should>
