 |I hope somebody can help me, I have just compiled delegate 8.9.6 on
 |Linux 2.6.5-7.97-smp x86_64 and am getting a core dump when I start it
 |normally (in the background) but it runs OK when giving "-f" so it
 |stays in the foreground.
 |
 |The commandline I'm using is
 |
 | ./delegated -P7652 SERVER=http MOUNT="/orf/* http://www.orf.at/*"
 |
 |I have added "-va" and get the following in the logfile:
 |...
 |02/09 18:00:35.90 [31162] 0+0: arg[2] SERVER=http
 |02/09 18:00:35.90 [31162] 0+0: arg[3] MOUNT=/orf/* http://www.orf.at/*

 |02/09 18:00:36.03 [31162] 0+0: FATAL: get{host|peer}name(4343479)
 |failed, errno=9
...
 |So, anybody experienced something similar? Could it be a 64-bit
 |problem?

It might be.

 |I got a lot of warnings about casts from integer to pointer
 |of different size during compilation.

Try 8.10.X or later. The latest version is 8.11.0-pre1.

Cheers,
Yutaka
