| Between FTP-DeleGate servers, FTP data is transmitted in "MODE XDC"
| which means transmitting data on the control-connection, without
| making data-connections. This mechanism prevents DeleGate from
| encountering problems around data-connection.
|
| This "MODE XDC" is suppressed when two DeleGate servers are on the
| same machine, but can be enabled with the FTPCONF="forcexdc" option
| (which seems not documented)

Or it *thinks* they are on the same machine. :-) One problem down, two
to go. :-)

1. Using the "tunnel" method described on
http://www.delegate.org/delegate/ssh, an http delegate process won't
work. It always comes back and says "malformed URL request" or something
similar. If I switch to tunneling my delegate speciailists through an
SSH tunnel to a master delegate, http works just fine.

2. Telnet won't work regardless of which tunneling method I use. The
following seems to occur:

This is regardless of which ssh tunneling method I use.

A general comment: one improvement I think that could be made on
http://www.delegate.org/delegate/ssh is some concrete examples (e.g.
what commands might you execute to make all this work).
