[DeleGate-En] Understanding the statistics
23 Jan 2003 01:42:07 GMT Stephen Frost <peieabdyi-g7ilkrrpmhjr.ml@ml.delegate.org>

Hi all,

Am trying to get an understanding of the effectiveness of
the proxy in terms of the data download savings. In the
admin/config HTML interface the proxy presents statistics
in the following format:

  STATUS
  Version: 8.3.3
  current-time: 23/Jan/2003:12:27:59 +1100
  server-start: 23/Jan/2003:12:16:04 +1100
  server-count: 49
  server-alive: 2
  service-done: 248
  load_average: 12.76 (6.4 2.5 10.2) RPM

RPM would appear to be Requests Per Minute?

Service-done presumably means Requests Handled?

Can anyone help me with information on "server-count" and also the figures
in the "load_average" sections?

If possible, please copy any responses to my email address
(peieabdyi-g7ilkrrpmhjr.ml@ml.delegate.org) as well as to the mailing list.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Regards,

Steve
