 |I am using ie5.5 with delegate as the proxy ftp server.
 |I request index_v2.htm through browsing the ftp server,
 |and delegate returns "ftp://user@yoursite../index_v2.htm"
 |and says the file is unknown.

Could you show me the detailed log of DeleGate on the access?
I expected it would be like enclosed one but it was not in
your case.

 |If I request manually "ftp://user@yoursite../../index_v2.htm", delegate
 |finds the file and returns "ftp://user@yoursite../html/../index_v2.htm".
 |
 |Looking at my logs, as the current directory is /html, delegate should have
 |to retrieve index_v2.htm or /html/index_v2.htm instead of html/index_v2.html ?

Normally, the current directory at the start, or the login directory
of a user, which is "/home/user" typically, is not visible to (proxy)
HTTP client. To make this work, URL for FTP resouses must be
interpreted as relative path, as defined in the standard of URL.
So the problem is why "/html" or "html" is shown to the client.

 |There is maybe a misunderstanding between delegate and ie5.5...

Since I've not heard about this kind of problem, it might occur
only in something complex situation. By the way, what version of
DeleGate are you using?

Cheers,
Yutaka
