[DeleGate-En] Re: nntp posting limit?

Hi,

In message <_A1326@delegate-en.ML_> on 09/17/01(00:57:38)

It looks like so but there is no such limitation and NNTP-DeleGate
has been used for many years without such problem, at least used with
INN news server. Could you tell me what your NNTP server is,
on which OS?

% gdb thePathNameOf-delegated thePidOfTheHangingDeleGateProcess
(gdb) where
(gdb) quit

Maybe the DeleGate is pending in ... NNTP_POST() -> fgetsFS() -> ...
to receive the response code from the server.

 |And when it hangs:
 |09/16 11:38:47.40 [7974] 6+0: NNTP POST: 340 ok (POST via DeleGate).^M
 |09/16 11:38:47.42 [7962] 5+0/6: POST to server[0][aaaa.bbbbbbb.com] alt.test
 |09/16 11:38:47.46 [7962] 5+0/6: NNTP POST: 340 Send Article to be Posted^M
 |09/16 11:38:47.46 [7962] 5+0/6: Permitted: alt.test [aaaa.bbbbbbb.com,M=1,R=0]
 |09/16 11:38:47.47 [7962] 5+0/6: Permitted: alt.test [aaaa.bbbbbbb.com,M=1,R=0]

Thank you. A possible reason is that the server is not
receiving/recognizing the ending ".CRLF" via your DeleGate for
some reason.

Could you check what is sent to the server, especially if or not
".CRLF" is sent, and what the server respond, with the folowing
parameters?

  FTOSV=-tee-v-L FFROMSV=-tee-v-L

These parameters will record the communication with the server into logfile.

Cheers,
Yutaka
